چکیده
The physical and mechanical properties of the coatings produced by electric arc thermal spraying are closely related to velocity temperature particles that interact with substrate surface. Knowing variation sprayed allows establishing their aggregation state, respectively determining distance, so state at impact moment is predominantly liquid. Obviously, when particle passes through spray cone, it cools continuously due low variable entrainment gas. This paper aims determine analytically behavior entrained gas jet formed in an arc, depending on temperature, existing along cone. In this sense, modeling finite elements, using ANSYS program, inside was determined, a mathematical model carried out based balance equations, profile determined. demonstrates suddenly increases solidification then melting temperature—due latent heat solidification, after which decreases 300 K.

Numerical Analysis of Transient Heat Transfer in Radial Porous Moving Fin with Temperature Dependent Thermal Properties
In this article, a time dependent partial differential equation is used to model the nonlinear boundary value problem describing heat transfer through a radial porous moving fin with rectangular profile. The study is performed by applying a numerical solver in MATLAB (pdepe), which is a centered finite difference scheme. The thermal conductivity and fin surface emissivity are linearly ...

Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) is a composite manufacturing process. A preformed fiber is placed in a closed mold and a viscous resin is injected into the mold. In this paper, a model is developed to predict the flow pattern, extent of reaction and temperature change during filling and curing in a thin rectangular mold. A numerical simulation is presented to predict the free surface and...
متن کاملNumerical modeling the bonding mechanism of HVOF sprayed particles
During high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying, most powder particles remain in solid state prior to the formation of coating. A finite element (FE) model is developed to study the impact of thermally sprayed solid particles on substrates and to establish the critical particle impact parameters needed for adequate bonding. The particles are given the properties of widely usedWC-Co powder...
متن کاملHigh-temperature degradation of plasma sprayed thermal barrier coating systems
Thermal barrier coating systems (TBCs) are used in gas turbines to prevent high-temperature degradation of metallic materials in the combustor and turbine. One of the main concerns regarding TBCs is poor reliability, and accurate life prediction models are necessary in order to fully utilise the beneficial effects of TBCs. This research project aims at developing deeper understanding of the deg...
